I teach Anatomy & Physiology at Clear Springs High School, and am an American Physiological Society Teacher Fellow which has allowed me to do cool research and dissections at McGovern Medical School.
I graduated from Texas A&M in 2005 (WHOOP!), then taught at Clear Lake and Clear Creek, before being a founding faculty member of Clear Springs HS in 2007.
I earned my master’s degree in Biological Sciences with an emphasis on Pathophysiology. My cancer research is published in the Journal of Biological Chemistry.

[Pictured Above] In October 2021, I was awarded a $48k grant from the Clear Creek Education Foundation to purchase an Anatomage virtual dissection table. I was dressed like a skeleton the day they surprised me.

I am married to an actual rocket scientist (anyone else know what an ephemeris is?) and we have two amazing little girls that you’ll probably see running through the hallways after school.
Outside of school I educate people about pollinator conservation and gardening, and run the non-profit website HoustonNativeBees.org.
